| 伊勢木綿に用いられる糸は最上質のワタを一本にヨリ、糊で固め慎重に織り上げられます。 こうして出来上がった伊勢木綿は高い通気性、調湿性を兼ね備え、糸が柔らかいのでシワになりにくく、洗ううちに糊が落ち、肌触りもとても良くなり、つかえば使うほど風合いが増していきます。 About Ise cotton: The thread used for "Ise cotton" is finest single yarn cotton which is solidified with starch , and carefully woven into a cloth. | 伊勢型紙とは、友禅、ゆかた、小紋などの柄や文様を着物の生地を染めるのに用いるもので、千有余年の歴史を誇る伝統的工芸品です。 和紙を加工した紙(型地紙)に彫刻刀で、きものの文様や図柄を丹念に彫り抜いたものですが、型紙を作るには高度な技術と根気や忍耐が必要です。 国の伝統的工芸品に指定され近年美術工芸品としても評価されていますが、時代の流れと共に着物の需要が激減し、布染めの分野にも機械化の波が押し寄せ型紙の出番が少なくなっているのが現状です。 About Ise-traditional stencil paper: The Ise-traditional stencil paper which use a pattern such as Yuzen, Yukata, Komon pattern for dyeing kimono fabric is a traditional craft product boasting a history of over a thousand years.
